Initial Ideas for Thriller Extract

  Plot: We potentially want to focus on the disappearance of a child as it's a relevant and current topic to todays society. Also, you can take this topic in a lot of different directions, making the extract more compelling.

  

Location: We were thinking of setting our extract in a rural location (country hills, forests, lakes etc.) in order to convey isolation and to go against the conventional Thriller location (busy, urban cities).



                                                                                            

 Costume: For the missing daughter, we want her to wear a white dress in order to convey innocence. Also, the colour white emphasises dirt so it will be easy to make the dress look tattered. This is useful as we potentially would want to show the daughter looking dirty and muddy.

 Props: We want to include child like props such as teddy bears, friendship necklaces and picnics. However, considering the ghastly nature of the topic, we would want to negatively distort them by showing them in the dirt and looking battered.
